Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy to learn how the www.LearnRevitAPI.com platform (the "LRA"), operated by Erik Frits under "EF LearnRevitAPI e.U." (the "EF") based in Austria, collects and uses your personal data. EF is the controller of your data, and this policy applies to all visitors and members of LRA.
Information Collected
Personal data you provide: your name, email address, the profile details you choose to add, and billing information when you make a purchase. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, EF receives your name, email address and profile picture from that provider to fill in your account. Forms you submit, such as downloads, waitlists, the contact form or a podcast guest application, are kept together with any files you attach.
Usage data: when you use LRA, your activity is recorded so EF can track your training progress, issue certificates correctly and keep your notes and community posts available. This includes the pages and lessons you visit, your training progress, notes, certificates and community posts, your sign-ins and devices, and how you interact with emails from EF. General information such as device type, browser, approximate country and referring website is recorded as well.
Use of Information
EF uses this information to provide your account and trainings and to track your training progress; to process purchases and issue invoices; to send emails about your account, your purchases and LRA updates, as well as newsletters and promotional content; to respond to your messages and provide support; to keep accounts secure and prevent account sharing and misuse; and to improve LRA, its trainings and its offers.
The legal bases are the performance of the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), the legitimate interest of EF in operating, securing and improving LRA (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and legal obligations such as tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Public Information
A certificate of completion shows your name on a public page that anyone with its link or QR code can open, so its authenticity can be verified. Live calls may be recorded and made available to the members of the respective training; you may appear in a recording when you speak or turn on your camera.
Third Parties
EF uses trusted service providers to operate LRA, such as hosting, content delivery, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring. They process personal data only on behalf of EF and only as far as their service requires. Optional services, such as signing in with Google or GitHub, embedded YouTube videos and GIFs in the community, receive data only when you use them. Some trainings include access to RVTDocs (rvtdocs.com), which is also owned and operated by EF. When you activate that access, your name, email address and handle may be passed on to set up your RVTDocs account and unlock the included access.
Some providers are located outside the European Union; such transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. EF does not sell or rent your personal data.
Cookies
LRA uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and protecting forms. Your browser may also store layout preferences on your device. LRA does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies or tracking pixels.
Data Security
EF takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is entirely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Form submissions and messages are kept as long as they are needed to respond to you, or until you request their deletion. Invoices are kept for seven years, as required by Austrian tax law. Backups are overwritten within 90 days.
Your Rights
Within the limits of the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from newsletters and promotional emails via the link in each email. To exercise your rights or delete your account, contact EF at support@learnrevitapi.com; requests are answered within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to This Policy
EF may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page; the date at the top shows the current version.
